It's our 3rd Groupmuse happening on March 16th at 7:30 PM!

We only have room for 20 people, including friends and community members, so there are limited spots available! 

What’s a groupmuse?
Groupmuses are something in between classical music concerts and house parties, hosted at someone’s home. They are a chance to spend quality time with old and new friends and to lose yourself in a profound artistic experience.

Repertoire will include solo classical piano:
J. S. Bach - Italian Concerto
F. Chopin - Ballade no.1
A. Scriabin - Etude in D# minor op.8 no.12
Danny Boy
Bach/Busoni - Chaconne

What do I bring?
BYOB. Please dress casually and bring at least $10 to pay the musicians at the event.

How it works...

Part 1 - IDEA EXCHANGE: for the first half of Salon artists meet, mingle, and discuss artistic practice, philosophy, performance, ethics, and more

Part 2 - PRACTICE-BASED RESEARCH: artists take ideas from part 1 and develop new work through guided exercises that deepen exploration into the artistic process

Through the Looking Glass

       an immersive theater adaptation of the Lewis Carroll wonderland novels

​

An old woman suffers from dementia. A young stroke victim struggles to make language. A transgender woman claims her new identity. All three find themselves in a strange new world. 'Alice' appears in many forms, but when she/they encounter her/their new reflections in the world of Through the Looking Glass, each 'Alice' must choose how to reconcile her/their life-changing experiences with a sense of identity and what that means for their future.

Say no to writing in a vacuum! 

Centrifuge Arts is now accepting play submissions for the inaugural Story Incubator: a state-of-the-art Writer's Laboratory

 

Centrifuge Arts's Story Incubator laboratory runs from November 1, 2015 through January 1, 2016. As Artists-in-Residence, participants will conduct site visits relevant to their work, meet weekly with the Story Incubator peer writers' group, and have one-on-one reviews with Artistic Director Simone Tetrault to workshop and craft pieces in progress throughout the 8 week period. Story Incubator  will culminate in a night of staged readings with Centrifuge Arts.

 

Emerging writers and theater-makers with full length plays or strong works in progress are encouraged to apply. Deadline to submit is Oct 25, 2015.

FALL PROJECT LAUNCH

Centrifuge Arts is proud to announce the launch of our first project of the 2015-2016 season, Symphony of the Fourth Dimension: a spacetime adventure.

 

With the generous support of the SciArt Center of New York, this immersive theater project featuring 9 female actors and 3 live musicians, will be presented at Access Theater's Gallery Space.

 

To support our theater piece, we've initiated a crowdfunding campaign. Help us launch our 2015 run of Symphony of the Fourth Dimension  with a generous donation!

 

Your support will help us to cover costs including rehearsal space, technical equipment, and artistic collaborators.
